  • Director/Senior Director of Advancement

    Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering

    The College of Engineering Office of Advancement invites applications and nominations for a full-time Director/Senior Director to provide advancement functions for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE ILLINOIS). The Director/Senior Director of Advancement for ECE plays a critical role in efforts to deepen relationships with alumni and donors in the department. The successful candidate will be a major gift officer for ECE ILLINOIS, and will be a member of the ECE Department and College of Engineering's advancement teams. He/she will be responsible for fundraising activities and implementation of the department's strategic plans to increase private giving to the department. Most of the efforts of the Director/Senior Director will be devoted to identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects and donors. The Director/Senior Director will manage a portfolio of 100 or more major gift prospects and be expected to close six-figure and seven-figure gifts on a regular basis. The position reports jointly to the Associate Dean for Advancement for the College of Engineering and to the ECE Department Head.

  • Assistant Director/Associate Director/Director of Advancement

    College of Engineering

    The College of Engineering Office of Advancement invites applications and nominations for two full-time major gift officers. One Assistant Director/Associate Director/Director will secure private support for the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering (MatSE), Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering (NPRE) and Physics. The second Assistant Director/Associate Director/Director will secure private support for departments and funding priorities within the College as determined by the Associate Dean for Advancement and the Dean. Both major gift officers will play a critical role in efforts to deepen relationships with alumni and donors in the departments.

  • Assistant Dean for Advancement

    College of ACES

    The Assistant Dean for Advancement provides leadership and strategic direction for the advancement initiatives in the College of ACES. ACES is proud of its exceptional faculty and student body and maintains a strong tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and public service. All candidates must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred. The position requires an understanding of and commitment to the land-grant mission of the University of Illinois and the College of ACES. The qualified candidate must have at least seven years of successful experience in development, preferably in a higher education environment. Candidates should have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and at least five years of demonstrably successful team management experience, preferably leading an advancement/development team.

    School of Labor and Employment Relations

    The Associate Director of Development has a dual report to the Dean of the School and to the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement, working closely with other members of the administrative team in the School to carry out the Advancement priorities for the School. The Associate Director of Development builds relationships, develops strategies and implements programs that will lead to and result in the successful philanthropic support of the academic priorities of the School and the philanthropic interest of donors.

    The College of Education and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement (OVCIA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a full-time Assistant Dean for Advancement to lead and manage a comprehensive fundraising program for the College which includes four academic units as well as several centers and initiatives. The College has over 34,000 living alumni and donors and a student body of over 1,400 undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Associate Director/Director of Development

    Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement

    The University of Illinois invites applications and nominations for a full-time major gift officer position to secure private support for the Urbana-Champaign campus. The Associate Director/Director of Development for regional fundraising will serve as a member of the University of Illinois’ Urbana-Champaign Regional Gift Program with core responsibility for major gift fundraising activities in the Southeast region of the United States. This position reports to the Senior Director of Development for Regional Programs located on the Urbana campus and will work closely with advancement colleagues in units across campus to maximize identification, cultivation and solicitation strategies for major gift prospects. The primary responsibility of this major gift officer is to identify, cultivate and solicit prospects capable of making gifts of $25,000 or more in support of philanthropic priorities at the university.
